Healthcare background, tourism direction
Eight years in a Saudi public health institution, an MSc in Tourism Management at Bournemouth University, and a gradual move toward tourism, visitor experience and evidence-informed decision making.
I am a clinical dietitian by background and an MSc Tourism Management graduate, now exploring how people, places and evidence come together in tourism, visitor experience and sustainable development.

Healthcare background
I worked as a clinical dietitian in a Saudi public health institution for more than eight years. The role was people-focused: assessing individual needs, explaining recommendations clearly, documenting care and following up on outcomes.
That experience gave me a set of foundations I still use: working with people from different backgrounds, keeping clear records, working within structured organisations, communicating as part of a team and making decisions based on evidence rather than assumption.
Shift
Transition into tourism
The MSc in Tourism Management at Bournemouth University was a deliberate move rather than a side step. It gave me a structured way to think about destinations, visitor experience, sustainability and the business of tourism.
Alongside the degree I took on visitor-facing roles in the UK, including work as an objects handler and as a student ambassador. Those roles put the academic material in front of real audiences and reminded me that a good tourism idea still has to work for the person standing in front of it.

These are areas of developing interest and direction, not established expertise. I am reading, studying and looking for opportunities to contribute as I build experience.
Health tourism
The link back to my clinical background. I am interested in how destinations, facilities and services support health-related travel and wellbeing.
Sport tourism
Major events, participation travel and the long-term destination effects that come with them.
Cultural tourism
Heritage, interpretation and the way visitors make meaning from a place.
Responsible and sustainable tourism
How tourism can create value for communities, environments and visitors without undermining the places it depends on.
Skills
Data-informed direction
I am developing practical capability in data analysis, reporting, visualisation and business performance thinking. I have used tools such as Power BI and Excel and I am continuing to build the skills that help turn information into useful decisions.
Now
Current direction
I am building gradually toward roles where tourism, strategy, performance, visitor experience, sustainability and evidence-informed decision making intersect. I am open to work, study and collaborations that let me contribute while I continue to learn the field.
